Job Location: Sun Valley, CA Job Title: Warehouse Associate Department: Shipping/Receiving Reports To: Warehouse Manager Pay: $15.00 - 17.00/hour based on experience Hours: Part-Time and Full-Time positions available during the hours of Monday - Sunday 7am - 3:30pm. GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB Daily picking, packing and shipping of orders. Receiving and replenishing inventory onto warehouse racks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Daily, picking, packing and shipping of orders Counting inventory to maintain accurate inventory count Inspecting returns Maintaining a clean warehouse Receiving and sorting new inventory Assisting supervisors and managers with other projects/duties when necessary Other duties will be assigned as needed EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as pick lists, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read pick lists in English. REASONING ABILITY: Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Basic knowledge and ability to use computers and printers. Ability to multitask and be detail oriented in a fast paced work environment. Quick learner. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Previous warehouse and shipping experience a plus. Prior experience creating shipping labels a plus. Forklift certification a plus. Knowledge and use of ShipStation a plus. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Specific job duties that require the physical demand: Picking orders to match the various colors customers order. Packing them in boxes and moving them to the pick-up area. Boxes weighing up to 70 lbs. will be moved on dollies throughout the warehouse, but the boxes will need to be lifted to be placed and taken off dollies/racks. Vision Requirements: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point) Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships) Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus) Required education: High school or equivalent
