General Summary: Working maintenance manager who supervises all maintenance, infrastructure upkeep, modernizations, and repair for the facility. This position is responsible for research and development of prescribed maintenance schedules, obtaining estimates for capital expenditures, and maintaining schedules of both regular maintenance and special projects. The position involves a high degree of complexity with a variety of work situations that vary from the norm. Duties are performed under the general supervision of the Administrator with established procedures and guidelines. Errors in accuracy, judgment and level of professionalism, quality of work effect the smooth and efficient operation of the entire facility ultimately impacting resident and staff trust levels. Specific Skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work activities • Ability to communicate in English, effectively verbally and in writing • Knowledge of principals and practices of facility maintenance, both commercial and residential structures • Skills in budget development, project proposals, project management • Ability to use various hand and power tools, facilities and ground maintenance equipment • Strong computer skills to do or quickly learn required assignments, reading, math skills necessary to understand technical issues. • High degree of integrity in all areas of conduct related too or reflecting on the Organization • Ability to remain poised in an emergency situation.
