General Summary: Performs maintenance, repair and upkeep for all buildings, properties and equipment for the facility. Job Functions: Perform both preventative and regular maintenance on vehicles, equipment and systems. Perform repairs and general up keep on the buildings, including carpentry, electrical, systems, painting, etc. Assists with the landscaping and grounds up keep if requested. Participate in all required trainings. Keep accurate records, receipts and written information for work done, items purchased etc. Share the “on call” duty rotation as needed Fill in with Housekeeping and Laundry Departments as needed All other duties assigned by supervisor Interpersonal Contacts: · Contacts are made both inside and outside the organization. Internal contacts include residents, employees, and management. External contacts include contractors, vendors, and local merchants. Job Scope: This job has recurring work situations with occasional variations from the norm. Duties involve a low to moderate degree of complexity due to the nature of maintenance and all it entails. Duties are performed under direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager with established procedures and guidelines. Errors in accuracy, judgment, and level of professionalism effect the smooth and efficient operation of whole facility and ultimately impacting resident and staff trust levels. Specific Skills: · Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work activities · Ability to communicate in English effectively verbally and in writing in order to interact with Residents, co-workers and Mangers · Skills in reading, basic math, and problem solving · Knowledge of principles and practices of maintenance and grounds up keep. · Skill in the use of various hand and power tools and facility and grounds maintenance equipment · Ability to remain poised in emergency situations MONTESSORI TRAINING DONE ON SITE.
