Sure, there are times when deadly force can be avoided. But this teen in Ohio was literally in the act of stabbing another person. Had the cop not shot, the big tim would have been stabbed at least once, possibly multiple times.
I am not a gun owner and I do not believe in violence. I think deadly force was justified here.
If you walk into your bedroom and find a man with a knife pulling his arm back to stab your sleeping wife, are you going to pause to “try to reason” with him? Or are you going to use force to prevent him from stabbing your spouse?
