Rehoming our very sweet lab hound

Due to family circumstances, we are having to rehome our beautiful and very sweet female lab hound. Her name is Maggie and she is about 5 years old. She was rescued by my grandparents about 4 years ago from a damaging home that kept her in a cage and had lots of children that frightened her. For this reason, she has a hard time being around children, so she needs a mellow home with no children, and she prefers to be the only pet, although she does get along with other animals. Maggie is extremely good-hearted and so sweet; she will give you so much love! She loves car rides and sleeping in bed with her companion person. We are absolutely heart broken to have to get rid of her, but it is necessary at this point, and we just want her to go to a good home where she will be loved and can blossom into the caring and sweet dog that she is. She can be a timid at times, and sometimes requires introduction to some people. We would love to find someone that could send pictures and give us updates at times, because she will be so missed by our family. There is no rehoming fee, but I would like to bring her by your home to have her meet you and be able to have piece of mind in knowing that she will be in a good environment.
