Description

The George Washington (GW) University School of Nursing is looking to immediately recruit participants for an on-going research project, the “Promoting HPV Self-Sampling Test Kits to Increase Cervical Cancer Screening among Women Living with HIV” (also known as “Self-Sampling, HPV Awareness, Results, and Empowerment [MySHARE]”). The mySHARE study which has the long-term aim of promoting HPV self-sampling test kits to increase cervical cancer screening among women living with HIV is currently funded by the GWU Cancer Center. The purpose of this study is to assess the acceptability, feasibility, and perceived effectiveness of promoting human papillomavirus (“HPV”) self-sampling test kits to increase cervical cancer screening among women living with HIV (“WLHIV”) from the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We are looking for women living with HIV (21-65 years old) to complete a survey about their cervical cancer screening knowledge, HPV testing practices, and HPV self-sampling test usage. The survey can be completed online, over the phone, or can be mailed to the participant. As a gesture of appreciation, participants will receive up to $60 Gift card for their time. Interested participants can call/text at or email at to inquire about enrollment in the study.
