GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION We have a large curb and gutter job which includes work in Limon, Elizabeth, Kiowa, Agate, Hugo, Cheyenne Wells, Kit Carson, Stratton and Burlington. There are more opportunities after this Project. Work entails building rough wooden structures such as concrete forms and scaffolds. Primarily forming and pouring of curb and gutter, sidewalk and ADA ramps. Also helping with removal and grade prep for curb/gutter and sidewalk. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Highly disciplined with a great ability to follow instructions • Excellent physical strength and stamina • Well organized and with the ability to show initiative • Willing to work and stay out of town for construction projects • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs • Able to work individually and as part of a team • Able to operate a variety of power tools • Have an understanding of pouring and finishing concrete • Measure materials or distances, using square, measuring tape, or rule to layout work. • Cut or saw boards, timbers, or plywood to required size, using handsaw or power saw. • Anchor and brace forms and other structures in place, using nails, bolts, anchor rods, steel cables, planks, wedges, and timbers • Erect forms, framework, scaffolds, hoists, concrete chutes, hand rails, and shoring • Have hand and power tools to complete carpenter work • Understand and use company safety policies and procedure • Have a basic understanding of structure and concrete work • Assist onsite supervisor or foreman on jobsites QUALIFICATIONS • Possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn • Willing to know and understand safety policies • Familiar with construction operations, tools, materials, and equipment • Understands how to layout and form a variety of concrete forms.
