Description

Cdl Class A Drivers are responsible for transporting plants, trees, and all types of landscape materials to customer locations using a truck. They are also required to perform inspections before and after a trip, and unload products from the trailer to customer facilities. Drivers also follow appropriate safety procedures to transport cargo and maintain logs of vehicle repair status and working hours. Cdl Drivers usually perform many of the following tasks: Delivering freight Managing proof of delivery paperwork from customers. Assist workers in loading and unloading trucks. Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle. Driving different types of trucks. Operate Boom equipment and supervise others who are receiving product from the boom. The Boom operator controls crane function by depressing levers and pedals by hand and foot. The Boom operator receives direction from riggers and/or site supervises via verbal and hand signals to determine required load movement. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential: Knowledgeable in OSHA Regulations and DOT standards and Boom operations; Must be able to read and speak the English language; Possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; Must be able to pass a regulated DOT drug test, background check, physical medical exam as required by DOT regulations Must possess or be in training to attain crane/boom operator certification Physical Demands: Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold and in a variety of outdoor weather conditions. Must be able to pass physical requirements per DOT Cdl Class A laws.
