Republicans see an evil law enforcement officer like Derik Chauvin as a fine public servant keeping the lawless masses (anyone not white is not right) in their place. Democrats see all Americans as equal and deserving full protection under the law. Republicans see money and economic growth as the ONLY purpose of government. Any other activities the government is involved in is done to diminish the wealth of the "chosen" white power elite. This makes government "the problem," as Ronnie Raygun so ineloquently put it over four decades ago. Democrats see government as the best and last hope for a freer and more just society where those with the most pay the most. Rich people don't make wealth...they steal it. Republicans think the climate is changing because that's what it does. If it will cost them $1 more in taxes any amount of truth and facts to the contrary must be vigorously opposed. They refuse to believe biological sciences, mathematics, logic or reason if it will cost them one shopping trip to their local strip mall. Selfish idiots, to be sure. Democrats are certain that the plethora of poets, writers and PhD.'s that have spent the past 100 years decrying the destruction that capitalism has visited on Mother Earth are 100% correct in their criticism of this form of economic devastation. Republicans want to go back to the '50's and live in a world of "I Love Lucy" and "Gunsmoke." The world has different plans and far more complex criterium going forward. We can either live in the past and watch the future burn as any hope for tomorrow's generations are seared in the heat of global warming, or we can vote Democratic and prepare for the challenges the future portends. The choice is ours! Jesus was, and is a DEMOCRAT!!!!
