Floral Designer Wanted! Established retail flower shop now hiring experienced floral designer. Work Description: Work in our retail location designing vased arrangements, wrapped bouquets, centerpieces, sympathy pieces, wedding and party pieces, corsages, boutonnieres. Assist customers with their floral and gifting needs. Process and inventory fresh flowers and perform plant maintenance. Maintain shop and work area cleanliness/organization. Advise customers on floral needs for large events. Sell fresh flowers, plants, gift items and accurately enter data into a Point-of-Sale system. Computer operation required (email, website orders, some Word and Excel use – we will train specifics). Be able to work well in a high-tempo team environment during holidays as well as working unsupervised during off peak times. Requirements: Creativity and positive attitude a must! Some floral retail experience required (preferred 2+ years) Detail oriented; must be able to efficiently and accurately enter orders and fill to recipe and/or price Must be dependable and reliable; flexible scheduling is available Must be customer focused at all times Be able to lift up to 30lbs Be available and flexible during peak floral holidays Skill demonstration is required; prior work photos/portfolios are encouraged but not required. Competitive pay will be based on experience, skill level, and speed.
