Leela is my dog and she had puppies in April of last year. I think she remembers it because she recently started carrying these two bones around and if you take it away she will cry and go and get it and bring it back to her bed. We have had these bones for a few months and this just started happening. She will also stretch out when you give them to her like she is going to nurse them. She has strong maternal instincts and she would be a WONDERFUL foster mom to a litter of pups with no mommy. I am home 24/7 and can bottle feed puppies and monitor them at all times. She is very sweet and well mannered and I feel so bad that she doesn’t have babies to love on. Please text me for additional info or if you know of any orphaned animals who need a motherly caregiver.
