Degu Family With Cage!

Description

I'm trying to re-home my degus because I'll be moving to Oregon soon. They will come with their cages, if you want. I have three, a bonded pair and their daughter. They're highly social creatures and don't do well alone. I've been moving the mom back and forth between my two cages so everyone gets company some of the time. My hope was another daughter would come along so I could pair the two up. That hasn't happened. The bonded pair are about 4 years old and were my class pets pre-pandemic, and thus are the most handled. The daughter is less than 1 year old and shy, but very sweet. Degus have a life expectancy of 6-8 years. My hopes. #1: Someone has female degus already and wants the little girl to join their pack and someone else takes the bonded pair. #2: Someone wants all three and will continue doing what I'm doing, sharing mom between cages until another female comes along. #3: Someone has male degus and wants dad and someone else takes the two girls. I just hate to break up the set. They love each other so frickin much. Degus make great pets. They're easily the best caged animals I've ever witnessed. They almost never bite, and they're diurnal, which means they're awake during the day. Their babies are born with hair and moving around, and dad helps raise them. They have surprisingly long life expectancies for rodents. They're not very common, so do some research first, and I'm more than happy to answer any questions too.
