Our Great Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Life and Vision Insurance—copremiums starting at $11.00/week Matching 401K Retirement Plan Scholarship Funds for Qualified College Dependents Skills and Experience -Receive incoming mushrooms in Styrofoam or plastic product till, via conveyor belt, weigh filled till and remove or add mushrooms to achieve the desired weight, being 8,10,12,16 or 24 ounces. -Receive incoming bulk mushrooms in a cardboard box via conveyor belt. Weigh filled box and remove or add mushrooms to achieve the desired weight, being 3, 5, 10 pounds but sometimes weigh up to 15 lbs. -Pour mushrooms into cannery tubs and stack tubs onto pallets in the cooler. -Clean lines with sanitizing solutions wearing both gloves and eye protection. -Stack boxes with product up to 15 lbs. -Maintain high quality standards by removing any defective product, capping product when required, and taking any other actions required to ensure that customer specifications are met. -Regular Worksite Attendance is essential -Ability to effectively communicate and interact with others in a multicultural workplace. REVIEW OF PHYSICAL DEMANDS for THIS HIGH PACED ENVIRONMENT: The physical requirements contained in this job analysis are rated on a range of workday basis. Reference is made according to the terms “Seldom” (1-19%), “Occasional” (20-39%), “Frequent” (40-79%), “Continuous” (80-100%). -Standing/Walking: Continuous. May be required to stand on concrete surface through an entire shift. -Sitting: Is not Required. -Lifting/Carrying: Continuous. Required when pouring product from 3-1/2 lb. Baskets into 10 lb. tubs. Overhead lifting up to 15lbs. Frequent: (Dumping) Required to lift a ten to fifteen-pound box of mushrooms from the carts to the conveyor every few seconds for hours at a time. And from Baskets on to the machine, CNR dumper position; in catcher position required to lift up to 15lbs of mushroom. -Pushing/Pulling: Frequent: Manually pushes a broom around workstation, when needed. May also turn product carts when operators are not available. Product carts total weight can be 1200 pounds-- Aided a 2nd person. -Reaching/Stretching: Continuous. Repeatedly reaches and stretches with hands and arms extended while manipulating the mushrooms in the produce tills and cardboard boxes; requires wrist movement, requires overhead lifting. Continuous. Bending at the waist and elbow is required on both lines while manipulating the mushroom tills and flats. -Handling: Continuous. Employees, on both lines, repeatedly manipulate mushrooms and tills/boxes throughout the workday. Includes continuous Wrist Flexion and Extension. While working on the “bulk line”, employee uses strong grasping while moving the ten to twelve-pound flats. -Bending/Stooping: Continuous. Bending/twisting at the waist is required on the “bulk” line when removing the box from the carts to the conveyor, placing it on the scale and then replacing it on the conveyor as well as when stacking. -Kneeling: Occasional. -Fingering: Frequent. When hand labeling or specialty orders cutting stems, cubing mushrooms. -Feeling: Normal sensory perception is required to execute handling duties. Work Schedules: Our plants operate at all times, and employees are expected to work assigned days and times. Work schedules for employees vary throughout our organization. Supervisors will inform employees or crews of their work schedules. Staffing needs and operational demands may necessitate variations in starting and ending times, as well as variations in the total hours that may be scheduled each day and week. This position has an indefinite number of hours as a part of the work schedule. It has no minimum/maximum number of hours/week. It also does NOT have a predetermined set of days off. Days off may be any day from Sunday to Saturday; they may not necessarily be consecutive.
