A.F.B. offers white glove warehouse receiving, delivery and installation to the interior design industry. We are looking to fill a full-time role working in the warehouse as well as being a lead installer on interior design installation projects. The candidate must be dependable, have a strong work ethic, take personal pride in their work, and have a positive attitude.
Job duties:
General handyman skills are required (ie putting together basic furniture, hanging artwork, etc.)
Receive, inspect and package all furniture and furnishings for safe transport
Organize furnishings on shelves in warehouse using predetermined coding process
Use of computer and google docs essential
Communicate with the client about order deliveries and inventory
Load and unload moving trucks and pods at warehouse and job sites
Unpack and install furnishings and furniture, dispose of trash at job sites
Assist design team with installation needs
Travel required – all expenses paid
Willingness to work overtime as needed on installs
Must practice and follow proper safety rules and procedures
Keep warehouse and facilities clean and organized
Requirements:
Must be able to lift at least 60 lbs
Prior handyman experience
Prior warehouse experience
Ability to read a tape measure
Understand basic math (fractions and decimals)
Experience using excel and google docs
Proof of clean DMV record
Ability to drive moving truck up to 26’
Possess valid driver’s license
High school diploma
Ability to work independently and safely when not in a team environment
Effective and detailed communicator
Team player
