During April school vacation week (April 19-23, 2021) Boston Children’s Museum will be offering a special and unique experience, April Adventures Week, for children ages 5-7 (those in kindergarten through second grade) for an exclusive kids-only week-long experience in the Museum. The Museum will be closed to the public, and only open for Adventure Week participants and Museum educators who will be guiding small group (no more than 10 children in a group) learning and fun activities. This vacation week experience will give children a chance to engage in STEAM activities each day, explore the Museum exhibits, safely play in a physically distanced way with other children in their group, and engage in plenty of hands-on fun as they explore everything Boston Children’s Museum has to offer. Most important, children will have a chance to make new friends and memories in a fun, social setting. While there will be plenty of hands-on activities planned for the week, kids will also have a lot of choice and influence in suggesting what they would like to do. Exploration and play will guide all activities for the week, helping children learn and grow while having fun! The week-long program will incorporate the same COVID-safety procedures the Museum has implemented for the past several months, including physical distancing procedures, sanitizing measures, and heightened hand washing. All participating children and staff will be required to wear masks and physical distancing will be prioritized. Group sizes will be kept to 10 children or fewer, and at least 2 staff will work with each group in-order-to ensure that social interaction is encouraged at the same time physical distancing is implemented.
