Are you looking for a new career in the Maritime industry and don't know how to get started? Have you always wanted to work on a tug or barge? Do you enjoy working in the hospitality industry but want to travel the world? Have you found yourself unemployed during the current COVID pandemic? We have the class to help you get started. Our next class starts on May 3, 2021. Maritime Careers Exploration is a free course that provides an introduction into the maritime industry thru online coursework, limited in person learning, and 5 day voyage (paid internship) aboard the SSV Makani Olu to the neighbor islands. Students complete the program with a Sea Service Certificate, MCEP Certificate, TWIC, BoatUS, ServSafe, CPR/FA/AED certification, and Financial Literacy Certificate. For students wanting to go on into the industry after completing the course, we provide career coaching and financial support for gear and endorsements when funds are available.
