Bridge construction / Davis bacon wages L & J Construction Job position: Trainee for Journeyman position Certain individuals are VERY encouraged to apply: Women, Minority’s, Disadvantage Individuals Trainee will be enrolled in a training program under the supervision of L & J Construction and the Montana Department of Transportation. Training program is targeted to move individuals into journeyman positions No Journeyman experience is required. The trainee will be expected to learn the following tasks. Personal safety and safety of those around, safe operation of hand and mechanical tools, air compressor operation and safety, Jack hammer operation and safety, sand blaster operation and safety, carpenter tender, form setting, care and maintenance of equipment, proper manual labor technics (proper ergonomics positioning, lifting, shoveling, etc.) The program will consist of 1 trainee for a minimum of 500 hours. Trainee’s expected start date will be as soon as possible. Classification: Laborer Group 3: $24.19 + Fringe $9.60 + $2.50 Zone Pay percentage of pay for hours trained 0 to 250 hours at 60%: $14.52 + $5.76 fringe + $2.50 Zone Pay 251 – 375 hours at 75%: $18.15 + $7.20 fringe + $2.50 Zone Pay 376 – 500 hours at 90%: $21.77 + $8.64 fringe + $2.50 Zone Pay Job Location: On Interstate I-15/I-90 Butte, MT
