Pink Phurree is a team of women improving their health & fitness through Dragon Boat racing while overcoming cancer. Now is your time. How do get a 40 foot long pink dragon moving? Pink Phurree Dragon Boat Team, is hosting an information session on next Saturday May 1st at 10am to 12pm and again from 2:00 pm to 4:00pm. We are actively recruiting breast cancer survivors to learn about t he sport of Dragon Boat racing, the international Breast Cancer Survivor Dragon Boat paddling community, and paddling, volunteer, and sponsorship opportunities with Pink Phurree Dragon Boat Team. Perhaps now is the time for you to begin a new adventure in international breast cancer survivor dragon boat paddling right here in the Greater Houston Area. No experience or athletic ability is necessary. Equipment and training provided. We are looking for individuals who are open and ready to try something new and rewarding. We will be hosting an on water training clinic on later in May in Clear Lake for those who want are interested in improving health & fitness through the exciting sport of Dragon Boat paddling. What We Do Our purpose is to encourage, support and provide hope to survivors and their families. Our commitment to cancer survivorship is known throughout the cancer and international dragon boat communities and beyond. Who We ArePINK PHURREE (pronounced "fury"), Texas' First all women and cancer survivor dragon boat was founded by Frances Arzu' in 2007. PINK PHURREE has been a member of the International Breast Cancer Paddler's Commission (IBCPC) since 2011. PINK PHURREE, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is an unconventional cancer support group where dragon boat paddling is used to promote active survivorship both on and off the water. One paddle stroke at a time, with a crew of 22 paddlers, 1 steer, 1 drummer.
