Description
An uprooting in housing has left me unable to keep my guinea pig of 3 years, Teddy, any longer.
I got him when he was young, so he's just a bit over 3 years old. No prior health issues, and is pretty timid but energetic and funny. Likes to run laps around his enclosure.
His older cage mate passed away last year, and I intended to rehome him so he could have a cage mate again, but this was just before the pandemic hit and that put a delay. I'd still like for him to go to someone who already owns guinea pigs, though it isn't a requirement.
He can come with or without:
- His cage (4ft x 2ft Midwest Guinea Habitat)
- Cage contents (Fleece bedding, which is fairly old and worn, watering bottle, food bowl, igloo)
- Carrier (just a cat carrier)
- Remaining food and its sealed bin
Quirks and Mannerisms:
- Really likes to spontaneously run laps around his cage
- Knows when it's food time and will do the guinea pig squeak to make sure you don't forget
- Doesn't bite, but will do test nibbles that can hurt if you leave your fingers there for a few seconds
- Loves boxes. Give him a 12-pack soda box, cereal box, etc and just tear it up in a way he can run through it and he has a blast.
- Likes most vegetables, but doesn't really like most really sweet fruits.
If you're interested in him, shoot me an email and we can arrange for you to meet him!
