Join us for a 1.5-2 session learning the foundations of mountain bike handling.
Are you new to mountain biking and looking to hit the trail for the very first time? Or are you an intermediate rider wondering if you're progressing in the right direction?
Join us for a 1.5-2 session learning the foundations of mountain bike handling. From optimal body position, to proper braking, to lifting your front wheel, you’ll learn how to gain control in any situation to build confidence, safety, and fun on your bike. To participate in the class you will need:
1) A mountain bike in full working order. If you have concerns, bring your bike to the service department and we’ll inspect it for free. We also have mountain bikes available for rent.
2) A helmet
3) Flat pedals
4) Close-toed shoes
6) Water/snacks
Tuition is only $25.00! (Half the proceeds go to the Catamount Outdoor Center). The class will consist of about 45 minutes of field instruction and then a 45-minute ride to put your new skills to use.
We have room for eight students so, please RSVP to reserve your spot! See you on the trail!
