Massive Outdoor Rabbit Cages x 2

Description

Massive cages for massive rabbits (or a nice spacious cage for a regular-sized rabbit). Did that tiny baby bunny from Easter outgrow the adorable home you originally purchased? These outdoor cages are approx. 6'L x 3'D x 6'H. The frame is wood and the sides are 1/2" wire mesh (aka hardware cloth), designed to keep your pet safe from rats, snakes, birds of prey, raccoons, and the myriad other predators in Southern Louisiana. The cage itself is designed to be lifted off the frame and set on the ground, giving your pet the opportunity to enjoy grass and earth under their feet (disclaimer: rabbits can easily dig out, so use this feature with caution). There are three doors, on the side, top, and mini-den, for easy access from the ground or stand. Each cages has a mini-den on one end to provide shade and shelter from light rain (for heavy or frequent rain, you'll want to place a tarp across the top to keep not just bunny, but their bedding, food, etc. nice and dry). The bottom of the cage is also wire mesh, so be sure to provide hay and/or a sandbox for your bunny to have a soft place to walk. Also appropriate for quail. Would work as a chicken tractor during the day, but would not recommend as a permanent chicken home because it lacks roosting features. Condition: Weather-worn. They need some caulking on the end boxes and a fresh coat of paint, but are otherwise as sturdy as the day they were built. As a matter of fact, the 3rd picture below is from when they were first built. (I included it because it shows how the top portions open up). Disclaimer: I never did find a satisfactory design for the slide-out poop-catching tray under the cage. I ended up using window screen material and frames. It worked, but honestly, they were flimsy from day one and are overdue for replacement. Plywood would be heavy and unwieldy when trying to change the paper. Sheet metal, even expanded sheet metal, was out of my budget. Priced to move: $175/each or $300 for both (approximately half the value of the raw materials used to make them). I kind of hate to let them go, but I need the yard space.
