Charlotte The Corgi Gives Salem Hospital Workers Boost

SALEM, MA — A Corgi named Charlotte is helping brighten the days of Salem Hospital front-line health care workers as they take care of others. Salem Hospital said the long-haired Corgi, who this week was celebrated during National Volunteer Week for her efforts at the hospital, has been a therapy dog at the hospital for those who have been under the stressful burden of caring for coronavirus patients throughout the past year. "Charlotte has brought cheer to front-line workers," Salem Hospital said. "During a really stressful time, animals —especially therapy dogs — bring a lot of joy." Charlotte makes the rounds comforting frontline staff w/ her owners, Brian and Janet Barnes.
