Description
CHELMSFORD, MA — If you have noticed large puddles of water when it rains around Sandra Drive, Donna Road, Temi Road and the Janet Road neighborhood, you're not alone.
Chelmsford is applying for a Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Action Grant to improve drainage in the area, and needs your help.
"The more residential support we have for the project, the stronger our application will be," the town said in an announcement Thursday.
The Russell Millpond tributary floods during large events or when the downstream culverts experience blockages.
The town's proposed project would evaluate the tributary stream and design stream bank restoration, identify methods for stream maintenance, and increase flood storage through nature-based solutions.
In an effort to enhance its application, the town is looking for input from residents in the area.
If you have a story or pictures of flooding in that area, or would like to voice support for the project, the town asks you email [email protected] by April 30.
