Press release from the Georgetown Business Improvement District:
April 19, 2021
Tudor Place has reopened its historic house and garden on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4 pm. Admission is free, but registration for a specific time slot is required. Enjoy a self-guided tour of the house – first owned by the granddaughter of Martha Washington and the step-granddaughter of George – then picnic in the beautiful garden. Blankets and camp chairs are both permitted.
For those interested in virtual options, kids and teens ages 8-14 can register for a Tudor Explores program April 20 from 1 pm – 2 pm. The students will become digital garden detectives as they explore 5.5 acres of the historic garden in search of plants and animals, learning the principles of scientific investigation to study how plants grow.
