Advanced hands-on class for barbers looking to improve their skills with shears, speed, creating shapes, blow-dry and styling and much more This is a Combo Class with a promotional price!*This is an advanced class, attendees should know how to perform fades to participate 1st Day - June 06: Shears Introduction - Perfect Transitions 2nd Day - June 13: Advanced Shears - Creating Shapes 1 ticket = entry for both days DAY 1Our ''Shears Introduction - Perfect Transitions'' is a one-day workshop that covers 8 hours of practice. It is designed for barbers who already have an understanding of how to perform fades and would like to perfect their skills with shears and speed. The class is designed around your ability to perfect your skillsets. It will include: • How to create the ‘perfect’ fade • Optimizing time • Body posture: preventing injuries • Shears ergonomics • Tools ergonomics • Using shears and blending lines • Perfect transitions/connections between sides and top using shears • Texturizing hair with shears • Introduction to diagrams • Hair sectioning • Blow drying and styling • Correct product selection • Never have an upset client again performing client consultation correctly • How to perform excellent customer service • Social media and photography tips & more. For day1, each attendee is required to bring a live model to practice. Models should arrive at 1:00 pm and stay until the haircut is finished (aproximately 3 hours) Model requirements: 16 years or older, length of hair on top should be 4” or longer, willing to get a skin fade haircut. DAY 2Our Advanced Shears workshop is a one-day class consisting of 8 hours of practice. Taught by Tico, an industry-leading barber, it will teach individuals advanced techniques that are used at the best barber academies around the globe. It has been designed for barbers with experience in the industry who want to boost their confidence using shears. It covers a wide array of skillsets including: • How to create shapes • How to adapt a haircut in accordance with the customer’s face • Understanding diagrams • Hair sectioning • Graduation (building weight) • Layers (removing weight) • Over direction • Shears ergonomics • Injury prevention through body posture • Blow drying and styling • Correct product selection • Never have an upset client again performing client consultation correctly • How to perform excellent customer service • Social media and photography tips & more. For day 2, each attendee is required to bring one mannequin head and tripod for practice. We would suggest using Pivot Point mannequin heads for these sessions.
