ANNAPOLIS, MD — A customer left a $500 tip at Rodizio Grill - The Brazilian Steakhouse, the Capital Gazette reported last Saturday. Journalist Rachael Pacella wrote that the patron tacked the gratuity onto a $118.68 bill with a note reading "Welcome Back Rodizio!!!!"
The Capital explained that the Westfield Annapolis eatery opened in November of 2019 before closing for the coronavirus pandemic in March of 2020. Pacella added that Rodizio reopened last June at 25 percent capacity, but realized the margins were too tight and closed again. The steakhouse opened for a third time on April 1, the news outlet informed.
"One of the customers saw how hard the staff was working, how hard everyone was working that night," franchise owner Anees Nammari told the Capital. "It makes us feel so good to get that kind of support from our community."
