Drivers/Movers Program Qualification: Clean MVR, pass a drug test, pass the road test, be capable to do the job. Pay $16-18 Per Hr. Here at Atlanta Flat Rate Movers, our mentality is driver first. We believe if the drivers are taken care of it will foster a healthy, safe, productive work environment for everyone. Driver-contractors will be guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours a week as long as the driver has no outstanding claims, perfect attendance, and is available for all work including same-day moves for every week. If Atlanta Flat Rate Movers sets up a private moving job for the driver contractor “aka side move” the money earned from that side move will be counted toward that driver’s minimum hours for the week. ANY HOURS MISSED for the week will disqualify the driver from the minimum guaranteed hours for that week. Note: Side moves are a way for the driver contractor to earn extra money, side moves can only be arranged by management, drivers ARE NOT ALLOWED to arrange side moves for themselves by using any resources generated by Atlanta Flat Rate Movers LLC. Violation of this rule is a serious offense and WILL result in termination and a fine. Also, drivers can earn a ONE 30 hour pay bonus(this can be used as vacation pay for that week), to be paid out every year. To be eligible for the 30-hour bonus, the driver will have to be an Atlanta Flat Rate Mover’s Driver contractor for 1 year without a leave of absence before receiving this bonus. The driver can forfeit or be disqualified for this bonus if the driver demonstrates poor performance. Drivers will also be eligible to go on long-distance moves but will have to demonstrate the highest level of skill before being assigned to an out-of-town move. Drivers in good standing will be considered for the local moving jobs first before any helper is assigned to that job. Ex. If there is only one job for the day that requires only 1 driver but it is a 3 man job, instead of sending 1 driver and 2 helpers, Atlanta Flat Rate Movers will offer the drivers to take the helper’s spot before assigning 2 helpers to the helper’s spot. Drivers will also earn a portion of any products sold, this includes materials, evaluation, as well as add-on services such as long-walk charges. Physical Drivers (meaning the one who is physically driving for the day, not a driver who is working as a helper for that day) will receive 1hr per invoice placed on their check. Ex. Move #1 takes five hours the physical driver will be paid 6hrs. (This rule does not apply to the smaller 2 man NV jobs). All drivers will earn at least 3 hours for any workday involving moving. Ex. If the driver comes in and does a move that only takes 1 hour they will still receive 3 hours of pay for that day. On out-of-town moves, the driver will get a hotel allowance as well as $20 per day food pay on top of their regular pay. (Driver must provide a receipt for the hotel stay or will be expected to repay the hotel allowance provided). We are growing!! And will continue to add great opportunities for our drivers.
