Renovations contractor seeking material driver. You need to be able to drive a 20' 2 ton pickup, and pull at 25' dual axle trailer with precision, requires physical lifting between 50-100lbs, must be able to read and write English, bi-lingual a plus, must pass background check, do not apply if you do not have a clean driving record. Bring DMV printout to interview if selected. Your job would entail picking up construction materials from job sites, places like Home Depot, Ferguson, Golden State Lumber, and so on. Reviewing the delivery tags and then driving the materials to the proper job site, typically an apartment complex. Unloading the materials, and picking up any returns, or taking trailers with construction debris to local dumps. Must be able to load bags of concrete, cabinets, appliances, lumber, and construction debris. Some of your time will involve organizing materials at job sites, and in material warehouse. Potential for upward mobility would come with your knowledge of construction materials, interest in organizing your schedule, deliveries, thinking ahead and being proactive. Laying out the weeks delivery schedule, accessing the debris loads and spending your time productively. This is a full time job. When not making deliveries you would be able to work with the renovations teams and learn skilled trades.
