Description
I wanted to get the word out about a fantastic dog I’ve been fostering, a (possibly long-haired) German Shepard mix named Sputnik. I am fostering him from the wonderful folks at Family Dog Rescue.
Some additional pics and his profile can be found here:

I’d say the write up is accurate.
He has been an amazing dog and companion over the past few months. A beautiful, loyal charmer who always gets compliments when we’re out. He is a very mellow dog at home, happy to loaf about and follow me around, but he’s a total adventurer and loves exploring when we go on walks (I live next to Golden Gate Park, which he loves). He isn’t very vocal but he does get very focused when he sees other dogs and doesn’t have good habits when socializing (aka can sometimes lunge and be aggressive). Sputnik would love to find some good dog pals to play with, but he needs help getting there. I’d recommend Sputnik for an experienced, large-breed owner.
He is around 7 years old and weighs in at about 70-80lbs.
Unfortunately, I can’t commit to adopting him because of too many work commitments that will take me out of the area for large blocks of time. We’ve been bonding a lot but I won’t be able to commit the time to him that he really needs and deserves.
I’m happy to answer any questions. All inquires about adoption will need to take place through Family Dog Rescue. I am just here to get the word out for this great dog.
Thanks,
Dan
