HOBOKEN, NJ — Where are the best family activities and destinations in and around Hoboken in the coming week? We've compiled a list. Also, check out what's open now at American Dream in East Rutherford — and what's been delayed until summer — below. Wild Child Film Festival Family Friendly Screening On the heels of Earth Day, Hoboken-based Main Street Pops is presenting a virtual weekend of screenings of The 19th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival. This includes a family-friendly "Wild Child" collection of films on Sunday, short films designed to engage, entertain and inspire the next generation. Wild & Scenic Film Festival inspires environmental activism and a love for nature through film. The organizers have also partnered with two local restaurants, Salt + Seed and sevenvalleys.com, to offer "Meal and a Show" delivery options to enhance the viewing experience for locals in Hoboken and Jersey City. Speaking of movies... Hudson Table in Hoboken has offered kids' cooking classes and also the occasional family friendly movie on the rooftop. For families with older kids, they are showing Guardians of the Galaxy in May. Check out that and other events here. Hudson Table is located at 1403 Clinton St., Hoboken. Out of town Now that the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford is open — along with Nickelodeon Universe, DreamWorks Water Park, and other attractions — you can check those out and get tickets here. However, on Wednesday, it was announced that Legoland Discovery Center and Sea Life Aquarium would not be opening in May as planned. They are now listed as opening this summer. It's not easy in a pandemic, but we're searching, so email tips here. Here's a dropoff: MyGym in Hoboken will be doing its second Parents' Night Out of this month on April 30. In these events, parents can drop kids off for dinner and play for three hours at $45 per child. Kids should be ages 3-10 and must be potty trained. "It will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and pizza dinner will be included," says the facility at 720 Monroe St. "The pricing will be $45 per child. Masks are required for these events."
