TEAM: For Bruce According to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN), “More than 60,000 Americans are expected to be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2021. This is 166 people diagnosed every day.” Bruce Schwartz, a loving husband, father, and friend, was one of the 60,000 Americans diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, losing his battle in 2020. This event is the product of the love his wife Melissa has for not only him but for raising awareness and funding research to help combat this deadly disease. This For Bruce PurpleStride 5k event honors not only Bruce Schwartz, but the thousands of other brave Americans who fight this cancer each and every day.
