CEO Of Brandywine Hospital Now On Workforce Development Board

WEST CHESTER, PA — Chester County's commissioners have appointed the CEO of Towern Health's Brandywine and Jennersville hospitals to the county's Workforce Development Board as the county creates strategies to meet labor needs here. Claire Mooney, DNP, MBA, RN, CCRN, NEA-BC, President and Chief Executive Officer at both Brandywine Hospital and Jennersville Hospital was appointed to serve a two-year term on the Chester County Workforce Development Board. The mission of the Chester County Workforce Development Board is "to serve as the local entity, responsible for the strategic planning and promotion of an effective workforce development system in Chester County, that responds to the regional labor market needs." The Workforce Development Board members are appointed by the Chester County Commissioners. 'We are very happy to have Claire on the board," stated Pat Bokovitz, Director of the Chester County Department of Community Development. "Claire sharing her knowledge and expertise of the health care industry is a tremendous value to the board." In addition to serving on the board, Mooney also serves as the Chair of the Health Care Connect Industry Partnership. Health Care Connect advocates for the advancement of the health care industry through training, outreach, and other industry strategies to help recruitment and retention of health care workers. "It is so important to the future of health care in our community that there is a steady stream of qualified health care workers in Chester County for many years to come," Mooney said. "It is my great pleasure to serve on the Chester County Workforce Development board."
