Location: Platt Park area Position: Experienced Dog Handler (PT) To service our growing clientele, we are looking for talent to add to our existing, amazing team in the yard! Who we are looking for: • Some knowledge of dog behaviors and breeds • Familiarity with positive reinforcement methods • Group management of multiple dogs in a playgroup environment • Works well under pressure • Be able to be active and able to stand for 6+ hours a day • Possess a strong work ethic • Have a willingness to learn • Always a Team player • Have a Positive attitude • Be a Self-starter • Critical thinker with problem solving abilities • Self-starter • A contributor • Possess leadership skills • Loves dogs AND people What the job entails: • Commitment to the welfare of our clients • Team attitude • Initiative • Physical labor • Maintenance of safety in the yards • Maintenance of sanitation in the yards • Mess clean up inside and outside of facility • Cleaning outside and inside of facility • The ability to work outside many hours • On-going education about our clients and dogs in general (think Lifeguard & Preschool Teacher) • Willingness to learn and continue education The right candidate will possess a calm demeanor in a group of dogs - sometimes a lively environment that is looking for leadership. We will provide training & education for the right candidate that joins our team. Room for growth and will be reflected in remuneration.
