weeds and ground prep

I have killed all the weeds in my back yard. I need them cut down, picked up and get the ground ready to plant grass. Please reply by mail, have you done this before? How would you prepare the ground? Do you have your own tools. Job pays 20 an hour. Don't reply if that's not enough.
