Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Thursday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District.
The Northeast Health District added 75 new cases of COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases increased.The District did not add any new confirmed deaths attributed to COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths decreased.Both Oconee and Clarke counties saw increases in the seven-day rolling average of added cases.Area hospitals reported an increase in the number of COVID-19 patients, in the number of ICU beds in use, and in the number of adult ventilators in use.The percentage of residents of the Northeast Health District which is fully vaccinated increased, but at a rate lower than for the state as a whole.
