Update: The gas leak was stopped at about noon and Five Forks Trickum was reopened soon thereafter. LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — Motorists are being advised to avoid stretch of Five Forks Trickum Road in Lawrenceville while Gwinnett County firemen work to stop an active gas leak discovered Wednesday morning. Five Forks Trickum between Charter Court and Stone Mountain Street is blocked. Motorists should avoid the area and seek alternate routes. FINAL UPDATE: The gas leak on Five Forks Trickum is now under control. The leak was stopped at 12:01 p.m. The roadway was reopened at 12:07 p.m. and the scene was turned over to the gas company to complete repairs.
