PHOENIX, AZ — A woman was charged with manslaughter in connection with a north Phoenix shooting death of a second woman on Wednesday afternoon, Phoenix police said. Dejahnique Jackson, 24, was shot and killed at around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at an apartment near West Peoria and West Desert Cave avenues, according to police. Amellonna Russell was charged with reckless manslaughter in connection with the shooting, police said. No bail was set for Russell as of Thursday morning. This is a developing story.
