Description
Legal secretary position available at LI/NYC insurance defense law firm. Responsibilities will include transcribing reports, hearing abstracts and letters from various attorneys as well as receptionist relief.
The ideal candidate will have approximately one to two years’ experience in an office environment, be able to type 40 – 50 wpm with a strong grasp of English grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary, be detail-oriented and capable of following very specific instructions
Excellent communication skills, a comfortable and professional phone manner, a positive attitude and a keenness to learn.
Minimum qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
Reliable, flexible and attentive to detail
Efficient and responsible communicator
Ability to work efficiently on tasks while maintaining a high-level of accuracy
Preferred:
Familiarity with legal terminology
