Description

Best job for animal lovers - right here!!!! Are you great with horses and know just how to make them happy and calm? Do you adore kids and delight in making them laugh, giggle, or smile? Have you been a Pony Clubber, nanny, teacher, or summer camp counselor in your past? If so, this might be your weekend dream job! Our mobile children's riding lesson team is looking for a few great horse people with big, happy, positive, personalities to join us for work on weekends where we teach kids to ride. It's a blast to do with some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. We are many children's first exposure to learning to ride a horse or pony and teach them the basics of on the ground safety, getting on, walking (lead line), and getting off. Sometimes we lead horse education classes or story time too. Outside of the basic intro to riding lessons we groom, muck, feed, clean tack, and haul from our home base in Simi Valley, CA using our team's truck and trailer. On average, we pay $125 (FLAT RATE) for each riding lesson appearance booking in Ventura County or LA. Almost all lessons are 1-2 hours total in length with several children trying riding - one at a time - and primarily work on Saturdays and Sundays. That rate is flat rate meaning the time spent loading, driving to the location, working with the clients, and then the return trip. We carpool everywhere with the truck and trailer from Simi Valley so you don't need to drive to all of those places in your car.... you just need to be able to get to Simi ON TIME. Overall this is an incredibly fun year-round job with great people - we hope you'll join us!
