There's a new music festival happening July 7th-11th here in Eugene called Eugene PorchFest. It's a festival created by musicians, for musicians, and we're looking for concert hosts, musicians, and volunteers. Eugene PorchFest, running from July 7-11 2021, is an eclectic and collaborative new festival that seeks to connect acoustic musicians with host households to present live music directly to our city’s streets and yards. This citywide summer celebration of local talent aims to build and strengthen our community through shared music — an experience sorely missed after over a year of global pandemic, closed music venues, and cancelled summer festivals. Musicians who would like to perform may submit an application to be included in the PorchFest lineup. We are looking for a diverse range of acoustic music, with single sets lasting 50-60 minutes. Performers may have the opportunity to play more than once during the festival. Audience members will be able to purchase tickets at a sliding scale through our online platform, with revenues going to artists. PorchFest will provide a full schedule on our website, along with press and marketing support, but we are also counting on performers and hosts to spread the word to their fans and friends! Those interested in volunteering to host a performance should submit the host application. Performers are also welcome and encouraged to host their own set if they have a suitable space. In this collaborative spirit, we are excited to launch our first PorchFest, and what we hope will become an annual event in Eugene to celebrate music and community. All performers selected to perform will be paid. Interested performers can submit an application by May 15th here: Hosts are crucial to the success of the festival, and interested hosts should indicate their availability here: A goal of this festival is empowering locals with the tools to create opportunities for more live music in the Willamette Valley, and as such, hosts and musicians are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO TEAM UP AND SUBMIT A JOINT APPLICATION! Our festival team is here to support this process as needed -- reach out if you're a musician who would like help or tool in learning how to approach a potential host, or vice versa! Applications are due May 15th.
