This position is responsible for installing, repairing, operating and maintaining plumbing in HERSHEYPARK and HERSHEYPARK Arena and Stadium. This position participates in the post-offer employment testing program. Job Functions: Includes, but is not limited to: potable and non-potable water systems, public and well water distribution systems, sanitary drainage systems, sewage grinder and ejector pumps, storm water drainage systems, water treatment systems, cooling water systems, restaurant and food preparation equipment, gas piping systems, swimming pool equipment, plumbing fixtures, piping, valves, water heaters, regulators, gas heaters, thermostats, control devices, meters, steam piping and trap systems, and public restroom equipment. Basic Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. Three years of verifiable work experience in the plumbing trade. (Can substitute completion of trade school related training for one year of work experience.) Additional Qualifications: Must have a working knowledge of all plumbing related tools. Must be able to read engineering blue prints and specifications. Knowledge of local, state and federal codes relating to trade. Possess a valid Driver’s license and the ability to operate a manual transmission. Ability to safely lift 50 pounds. Pass a respirator health screening. Possess good written and verbal communication skills. Possess a positive teamwork approach. Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision. Ability to pass a trade aptitude test. Working Conditions: This is a Union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements, which will most likely require evening and weekend hours. Must be able to work at heights of 100 feet. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Flexible working hours including shift work, weekends and holidays. Wearing company supplied safety equipment is required. Working with chemicals is involved.
