Help with multiple sclerosis

Hello I have a friend who is very sick and doesn't have anyone to help her except me I've been paying her rent for a while now and she's waiting on her disability from Social Security but even that won't really be enough for her to live off of or cover rent and expenses herself. Does anyone know where someone can get assistance some program through the county or state or government I'm not aware of or some nonprofit Foundation or something that can help her out?
