To the original poster I don’t know how many times this has to be gone through, but the reason why all of these historical figures are being “canceled“, not that I necessarily agree with it but I understand why, all of these people represent a time of history when equality was not being championed, many of those people were slaveowners. What I try to counter with every single time but it either gets a nasty reply or gets flagged is that The right loves to engage in their own form of cancel culture. Ask the NFL, NBA, Keurig, Starbucks, Kathy Griffin, and Nike. I don’t necessarily agree with people smashing their Keurig‘s over Keurig pulling their ads from Sean Hannity’s show, But for god sake‘s conservatives. Quit trying to pretend that you are taking the high road over those durn libruls(And yes the spelling was intentional there) and at least own up to the fact that you’re no better than the people that you purport to hate.
