Cannabis in Adolescents Study

COMIRB Protocol# 20-0533 PI: Dr. Jesse Hinckley, MD, PhD The purpose of this research is to better understand the effects of marijuana use on the endocannabinoid and endorphin systems in adolescents. If you join the study, you will have a total of six study visits over about two months. Half of these visits will be held via Zoom and the other half will be held in person at the University of Colorado Hospital. You will be asked questions; complete questionnaires; and give urine, blood, and hair samples. -Ages 14-25 years-old -Use marijuana at least two days a week for the past month -Not be seeking treatment to reduce or stop your marijuana use -Physically healthy with no history of significant medical illness -Not taking certain types of medications or using other illegal drugs -(Female participants) not pregnant, nursing, using hormonal birth control, and have regular menstrual cycles - Have access to an internet connected device and the ability to use Zoom For participating in the research study, you will be paid a total of $160.00.
