I am looking to rehome a Red nose Pit mix boy, 3 yrs old, neutered. I am a dog trainer and he came to me by way of his family who adopted him from a shelter. He was in the home for about 4 months and did not have enough structure or obedience so he ended up taking over the home and becoming dog reactive which led to an incident with the other dog in the home, scaring the family. I took him to see if the issue was the dog or the family. The issue was the family. They have several children so loud home. They do not have time to do obedience training, although he has excellent obedience skills. This can be typical of the breed, sometimes they just need more structure and someone who knows the breed better and can give corrections or a leave it at the right time. He is a very good dog. He is house trained, knows sit, down, off, leave it, wait. Has a good sit stay and down stay. Is crate trained and not an excessive or panicky barker. He walks on a gentle leader for pulling, his heal is good if you have training skills if you don't he will pull out front which is how this whole thing got started with him. So hopefully if you answer this ad you have some training skills. He has been great with my animals, I have two toy poodles and 4 cats. He crates just fine as well. He does get a little nervous in the car (did some panting) but other than that was great. His rehoming fee is $150 only because I do not believe in free dogs and I have worked with him a lot.
