Operations of site(s) hazmat, chemical storage, and lab spaces according to stated requirements. Ensure reliable consistent operation according to directions, stated requirements, and specifications of each job or the approval of management. Working Procedure Summary for Maintenance (Owns) Responds to specialized incidents involving process tools, tanks, non-tank vessels, intermodal tanks, flammable/non flammable gas bulk storage or cylinders, process piping and related equipment. Uses advanced equipment, such as pH meters, mass spectrometry and gas chromatography, to detect, identify, and monitor hazardous materials. Use machine tools and hand tools working with a variety of materials, working within the prescribed tolerances as directed. Uses a risk-based response process to analyze problems and selects applicable detection and monitoring equipment, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), decontamination procedures, and control equipment. Manages non-hazardous and hazardous waste, decontaminates product or tools, manages chemical storage thru inventory systems or BKM. Aids and,administrates waste disposal. Analyzes malfunctioning hazmat systems and machines, recommends corrective action, and makes minor repairs, or other type of modifications Maintains a working understanding of facilities and production processes, performs maintenance effectively by “BKM” (best known method), OEM practice or general direction. Works in cooperation with Engineering, production supervisory, or other stake holders within the company, works with other personnel outside of the company when directed. Obtains required tools, equipment, and instruments; clean-up and store as required.
