Service Technician for Industrial Trash Compactors & Balers

We are currently seeking a Service Technician to service, repair, maintain and install industrial trash compactors and cardboard balers through out Southern California. Our Service Technicians perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and welding repair to industrial waste and recycling equipment. Equipment includes: Vertical Balers, Self Contained Compactors, Stationary Compactors, Receiver Boxes, Trash Chutes and More... All services are performed in the field at our clients location or at our shop in Corona, CA JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities included below are not limited to the following: • Travel to customer sites to service equipment using company provided vehicle • Troubleshoot equipment, determine fault & solutions for repair. • Service Technician may complete multiple repairs at multiple locations in any given day as required. Technicians perform electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and welding repairs. Equipment installation and preventive maintenance services. • Performs occasional cleanout of trash and debris from behind trash compactor ram for equipment repairs • Document all work performed and must complete company work order forms in detail. • Occasional overtime work may be required • Service Technician will be require to help around shop as needed for general shop duties or in shop repairs JOB QUALIFICATIONS: • Mechanically inclined and able to use basic hand and power tools • Basic understand of electrical and hydraulic schematics • Basic welding and fabrication experience preferred • Must be able to occasionally lift and carry 50+lbs safely • Excellent technical and communication skills • Excellent customer service skills • Bilingual Spanish speaker preferred but not required • Basic welding / fabrication experience • Dependable, self-motivated and reliable • Valid Drivers License and Clean driving record Service Technician are required to follow safety guidelines and work intelligently in the field and at our shop. Technician will be required to sit, stand, kneel, and climb or other actions to get required work completed. Technician must be alert of surroundings at all times while working. Service Technician will be working on waste and recycling equipment, so there may be times that require lifting of heavy objects, working on ladders or work in and around dirty equipment or undesirable conditions.
