Currently looking to hire a Shipping/Receiving Clerk with minimum 1 year experience. Shift: Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm with a 30 minute unpaid meal break. Responsibilities: • Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. • Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. • Pick, pack and ship orders via UPS & LTL shipments • Verify all Shipping and Receiving Orders. • Occasionally interact with internal and external customers • Validate orders to ensure the correct product is picked for processing • Maintain inventory levels with cycle counts as necessary. • Assist in validating orders prior to shipment. • Read incoming packing slips for receipt and verification of incoming product, materials and equipment. • Arrange appropriate transportation of products with carriers or in customers systems • Assist customers with shipping inquiries • Perform other duties as assigned • Maintaining safety and quality standards within the warehouse. • Read customer order documents to accurately determine selection of product and assemble inventory required. • Move outgoing product using hand truck, forklift or other material handling equipment, in accordance with all safety policies • Receive, sort and place incoming product in appropriate warehouse location. • Record amounts of material shipped and received in computer system. • Notify Shipping/Receiving Manager, Plant Manager or Purchasing Team of any product, safety or customer concerns. • Organize warehouse, dock, yard and other areas for cleanliness and safety at all times. • Maintain all quality indicators for operations by verifying product quantity/quality before delivery. • Build and maintain inbound freight schedule by keeping and updating written and electronic appointment logs. • Assemble, prepare and complete documentation for inbound freight by printing labels and incorporate with check-in documentation based on inbound freight schedule; close purchase orders; and prepare closing documentation. • Communicate with inbound drivers and receivers to exchange information as needed. • Update sales order information and generate/process invoices; manage will call orders. • Submit electronic reports to and for external customers. • Verify and check all orders and routes processed and completed for the day/night work orders. • Other duties as assigned • Shipping and Receiving Clerk reports to Shipping and Receiving Manager who reports to Plant Manager Submit resume via email to be considered for an interview.
