Volunteers are needed to help clean Bridge 26 which is .3 miles south of the Washington Sailing Marina. The Friends of Mount Vernon Trail will be cleaning Bridge 26 which is approximately .3 miles south of the Washington Sailing Marina. This bridge is known to be very slippery when wet due in part to mold and mildew accumulation. We'll be working to remove it to prevent crashes. Volunteers will perform some of the following work: Applying a cleaning solution to deck boardsScrubbing deck boards with a brushOperating a power washerCarrying water from a nearby source by bikeRemoving excess water with a squeegeeWhat to Bring: WaterSunscreenGloves (We'll have a few pair on hand as well)Where to Meet: Bridge 26 is approximately .3 miles south of the Washington Sailing Marina.
