PROFESSIONAL GARDENER If you are passionate about plants and sustainability, with an interest in a pursuing a landscaping career in New York City, then we want to meet you! Seasonal and long-term opportunities exist for a talented horticulture professional at HARRISON GREEN, a Landscape Design, Installation & Maintenance firm rooted in principles of sustainability, collaboration, and beauty. Ideal candidates possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, creative problem-solving spirit, and excellent communication skills. HARRISON GREEN is proud to report ZERO COVID-19 cases company-wide in 2020. We will continue to maintain and enforce our safety protocols to protect our team and clients. In doing so, each Professional Gardener will be working independently or in small teams for the duration of 2021. It is essential that candidates are confident in being independent, but understand that HARRISON GREEN is also a team; our collaborative foundation remains strong. RESPONSIBILITIES • Routine garden maintenance, which includes planting, pruning, weeding, mulching, deadheading, sweeping, cleaning and more! • Troubleshooting a wide array of site and job-specific scenarios • Transporting plants and landscape materials in a variety of settings • Maintaining and operating small power and hand tools • Communicating information about gardens to Managers via mobile device • Adherence to our COVID-19 Action Plan QUALIFICATIONS • Strong work ethic and high personal standards • At least 1 year of experience in horticultural or agricultural field • Ability to identify and prioritize tasks when working independently • Ability to communicate and work well with others • Flexible and able to adjust easily to schedule changes • Detail-oriented, with considerable attention to cleanliness and order • Ability to perform physical labor (and to lift 50 lbs.) on a daily basis • Dependable, punctual, and honest • Valid & Clean NY State Driver’s License preferred but not required Visit our website: www.harrisongreen.com Follow us on Instagram: @harrisongreennyc
